Privacy Policy

Effective 3 November 2026 · Applies to the Chill Tiles iOS app and this website (chilltiles.app).

Chill Tiles (“we”, “us”) is an indie puzzle game. This policy explains what information the app and site use, and why. We do not sell your personal information.

The app stores data locally (for example with Apple’s UserDefaults and app files), including:

This data stays on your device unless you use optional Game Center features described below. Deleting the app removes local data unless Apple or Game Center retains a copy you can restore.

3. Purchases (Premium)

Premium is sold as a non-consumable In-App Purchase through Apple. Apple processes the transaction. We receive a purchase receipt / entitlement signal so the app can unlock Premium features (for example Themes beyond the free cap, Challenges, custom themes, and an ad-free experience). We do not see your full payment information.

Restore Purchases uses Apple’s StoreKit APIs on your device.

4. Advertising (free tier)

If you are not on Premium, the app may show interstitial ads through AppLovin MAX after certain gameplay moments.

Our shipping configuration requests a non-personalized advertising posture (no App Tracking Transparency “tracking” claim; privacy flags set for limited / do-not-sell style treatment before the ad SDK starts). Ad partners may still receive coarse technical information needed to deliver an ad on your device (such as device type, IP address, or advertising identifiers as permitted by your OS settings and their policies).

You can remove ads by purchasing Premium. You can also limit ad tracking in iOS Settings.

5. Game Center

Signing into Game Center is optional. If you do, Apple may sync scores, achievements, and cloud save data associated with your Game Center identity according to Apple’s policies. We use Game Center for leaderboards, achievements, and optional cloud merge of progress. We do not operate a separate Chill Tiles account system.

6. Notifications

If you enable the optional streak reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. Notification permission is requested only when you turn the reminder on (or after related first-run flows). We do not send remote push marketing messages.

7. This website

chilltiles.app is a static site. We do not use analytics cookies or third-party trackers on these pages. Your browser and Cloudflare (our host) may process standard request logs (such as IP address, user agent, and URL) for security and reliability.

8. Children

Chill Tiles is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. It is not listed in the Kids Category. Do not use the app if you are under 13. Parents who believe we have collected information from a child may contact us to request deletion of any data we control.

9. International users

The app is distributed through the App Store. Processing may occur in the country where you use the device and in regions used by Apple, AppLovin, or Cloudflare to provide their services.

We may update this policy as the app or laws change. The “Effective” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
